Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of scalable, high-performance applications and platform initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about building production-ready systems, collaborating across teams, and driving technical excellence through modern software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, performant, and testable code that supports company-wide initiatives.
• Build and maintain applications using modern technologies such as Elixir, Ruby, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Kafka, AWS Lambda, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
• Contribute to technical decision-making and help shape the future architecture of software systems.
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers through pair programming and team-based development.
• Deploy user-facing applications and features to production environments.
• Partner with Product and Engineering Management to deliver business value and improve platform capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

• ​​​​​​
• 3–5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience designing reusable components and shared component libraries.
• Solid understanding of building and maintaining production-ready web applications and systems.
• Passion for software quality, testing practices, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with at least one of the following technologies: Elixir, Erlang, Ruby, JavaScript, Next.js, or another modern programming language.
• Familiarity with:
  • IDEs and modern development tools
  • RESTful APIs
  • Git and version control systems
  • Remote deployment and development workflows
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures, database fundamentals, and GraphQL.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and enthusiasm for creating impactful user experiences.
• Interest in retail, eCommerce, luxury goods, consignment marketplaces, or sustainability-focused business models.

  Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React.
• Experience working with Kafka for event-streaming solutions.
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL.
• Experience using Storybook for UI component development.
• Experience designing and building microservices architectures.
• Experience developing eCommerce platforms.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms, particularly Prismic.
• Experience with iOS and/or Android mobile application development.

Nice to Have​​​

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in distributed teams.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business objectives.
